These tours, with our local experts Alessandra and Ingrid, focus on the traditional craft shops and artists working in Rome. They are descendants of a human and cultural heritage that represents the very soul of this city. It’s a different historical journey to one that people normally follow in Rome and one with a human dimension of today which we often overlook. The excitement of the art of handicraft for us lays in ancient knowledge, the old family traditions, and the passion for perfection.
You will meet one of the last turners in Rome with his lab full of chips, the sculptor who creates works in ceramics, glass art, the leather craftsman that manufactures unique handmade sofas and chairs, a painter who paints on large sheets hanging them on the wall of the road with nails.
These tours take approximately 2 hours and a half.
